Accenture’s Industry X unit covers digital production and operations, asset management, digital engineering, automation and robotics and connected products1.

Best for: Large multi-plant manufacturers that want one partner for AI, digital twins, automation and the OT/IT integration behind them.

Not the right fit for: Single-site or mid-sized manufacturers looking for a small, fixed-scope pilot.

What Accenture Industry X does for manufacturers

Its most detailed recent manufacturing case is Unilever. It is a multi-year program that scales industrial AI and more than 40 digital twins across Unilever's manufacturing network. Accenture reports 20% less waste and 10% more capacity at Raeford in the US, and up to 20% fewer minor stoppages at Poznań in Poland2. Another case, for a multinational food company it doesn't name, uses generative AI for inventory-risk prediction, planning and a language tool for floor teams3.

Industry X works with AWS, Microsoft, NVIDIA, SAP, Siemens, Dassault Systèmes and AVEVA. That suits companies that already run those systems across several plants.
